We provide an incredible experience for individuals seeking cosmetic enhancements - both through non-surgical procedures and cosmetic surgery. The Maryland Plastic Surgery Center Medical Spa is the first true medispa in Maryland. We specialize in non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures. And when a surgical procedure is required, we have a certified and accredited operating room on-site. Best of all, the techniques we use enable most patients to quickly return to their daily routine with minimal discomfort! We have many satisfied customers that we can provide as referrals.
COSMETIC FILLERS
Dr. Summers has become highly sought after for his expertise in creating natural enhancements with injectable fillers. The most commonly treated areas are the lips, perioral wrinkles, and nasolabial folds.
A variety of filler materials are available, ranging from autogenous substances such as your own fat to natural substances such as collagen and hyaluronic acid (Restylane, Captique, Juvederm) to synthetic materials such as Sculptra. Each of these substances has particular strengths and use indications.
By far, the most commonly used filler is hyaluronic acid. The results are immediate and incredibly natural. There is essentially no downtime and the results last 4-6 months, depending on the individual. The injections are done under a nerve block and are completely painless!
Dr. Summers has extensive experience and he even pioneered the use of soft tissue fillers in the periocular (under the eyelid) region to give a non-surgical eyelid lift. Also, Dr. Summers was one of the only plastic surgeons in the region to be selected for the "JET" (Juvederm Experience Trial) Study prior to the FDA giving approval for its use.
SCULPTRA
Sculptra is a unique "filler" and is better referred to as a "volumizer". This is because Sculptra actually restores volume by stimulating the production of new collagen. Over time, the Sculptra is completely absorbed, leaving behind your own body's natural collagen framework. Typically, at least two treatment sessions are required to see stable long-term results. The beneficial results may last for several years. Sculptra is best used in the nasolabial folds, meliolabial folds ("marionette lines"), and cheeks -- it is not for use in the lips.

The following prices are "per syringe" (or vial) of injectable material. The price includes both the consultation fee, the injection fee and the filler itself. When multiple syringes are required, a discount of $100 is applied to each additional syringe.
